BELFAST 2026
The George Best Community Cup in Belfast is one of the most exciting opportunities we’ve had as a club, and one that carries a lot of history for us. We first took part in this tournament back in 2018 as Oadby & Wigston, where we went on to win it — a weekend that those involved still talk about to this day. It wasn’t just the football, but the experience of travelling, representing the club on a bigger stage, and being part of something truly memorable.
Now, as Dunton & Broughton United Inclusive FC, we plan to return, with our Centurions securing a place in this year’s tournament. It’s an incredible opportunity for the club to grow beyond England and showcase what inclusive football is all about.
Trips like this go far beyond the pitch. For many of our players, it’s a rare chance to travel, stay away with teammates, and experience something completely new. It builds confidence, independence, and friendships that last far beyond the weekend itself.
However, travelling to Ireland comes with significant costs. Flights, accommodation, and tournament fees quickly add up, and this can make it difficult for some players to take part. Our goal is to reduce those barriers as much as possible, giving everyone a fair chance to be involved in moments like this.
Your support helps us make that happen — not just funding a trip, but creating opportunities, memories, and experiences that stay with our players for years to come.
