What we do

Before we’re a football team, we’re a group of friends.

The football is important — we train hard, we compete properly, and we care about improving — but what really matters is the environment we’ve built. Our sessions feel less like an obligation and more like meeting up with your mates. The jokes start before the warm-up even begins. Conversations carry on long after the final whistle. For many of our players, this isn’t just somewhere to play — it’s somewhere they belong.

We often say we’re a group of friends who just happen to play football together. The trust, support and camaraderie come first. The goals, results and trophies follow. That family feeling is what keeps players coming back week after week — and what gives parents confidence that their son or daughter is part of something positive, structured and genuinely caring.

Format:

We train together every Saturday, adults from 11:00 - 12:00. this is broken up by the tournaments we partake in. These are hosted mostly once a month and spread out around by the different teams in the county. and always on a Saturday.

These tournaments are ran by the league and split into three divisions.

League - Green

Championship - Red

Premiership - Purple

It is operated in a six aside format and and that is how we split our team. Ten players per team in the above divisions we have one Premiership side, two Championship sides, and one League side.

During these monthly tournaments you will play in your team against the other teams in your league.

Every win counts for three points, draw for one point and a loss for zero. And the fair play (awarded for good behaviour) for three points. These games and points to go into a league table at the end of the season to determine the each league winner respectively.

To separate these tournament we also have Cup tournaments. which are simple on the day fixtures where everybody plays round once and the teams who finish in first and second play each other to determine a winner. These are the "League Cup" and the "Rudkin Cup". The winner of each of these cups then meet in each other in the county cup at the end of the season hosted by the FA.

We provide structured, competitive football opportunities for disabled adults in a safe, ambitious, and supportive environment.

Our inclusive section fields four teams across multiple ability levels, competing in the Leicester Adult Inclusive Football League. Throughout the season, we participate in league tournaments, host our own events, and compete in cup competitions — ensuring our players experience real matchdays, real progression, and real responsibility.

We train weekly with a clear focus: development, discipline, and teamwork. Sessions are designed not only to improve technical ability, but to build confidence, decision-making, communication, and resilience.

While football is the foundation, what we do goes deeper. Many of our players arrive without strong social circles or confidence in group settings. Through shared training, competition, and team responsibility, friendships form naturally. Standards are high, expectations are clear, and every player understands their role within the squad.

Our coaching staff are FA qualified and operate under safeguarding and welfare standards set by Dunton & Broughton United FC. Player safety, structure, and accountability are non-negotiable.

We are inclusive by design — but competitive by mindset.

What we do is simple:
We develop not just players, but people.
We build confidence.
We foster belonging.
And we compete together.
