Who are we?

Football means different things to different people. For us, it’s more than a game. It’s confidence. It’s belonging. It’s purpose on a Saturday morning when everything else can feel lost. Dunton & Broughton United Inclusive was built on the belief that disabled football should never be an afterthought. It should be organised, competitive, structured, and taken seriously — while still being supportive and welcoming.

We are players, parents, volunteers, and coaches who care deeply about what happens both on and off the pitch. We celebrate progress as much as trophies, effort as much as ability, and character above everything. This isn’t just somewhere to play football. It’s somewhere to grow, represent something bigger than yourself, and be part of a team that truly matters.

Dunton & Broughton United Inclusive is a competitive, FA-aligned disabled football programme built on commitment, structure, and belief.

We are proud to operate as part of Dunton & Broughton United FC, providing opportunities for disabled adults to train, compete, and develop in a safe, ambitious, and supportive environment.

Our inclusive section consists of four teams competing in the Leicester Adult Inclusive Football League, entered at levels suited to their ability. We compete across league tournaments and cup competitions throughout the season, striving not only to participate — but to improve, progress, and win with integrity.

Behind the scenes is a close-knit group of volunteers who give their time to organise fixtures, host tournaments, manage safeguarding, coordinate training, and support player development. Every coach and volunteer understands that what we do extends beyond football — it’s about confidence, belonging, discipline, and personal growth.

We operate to FA safeguarding standards, hold appropriate DBS certification, and follow Respect and Equality policies in line with The FA and Dunton & Broughton United FC’s wider constitution

DBU inclusives Constitution.

While we are inclusive by nature, we are competitive by mindset.

We believe disabled football should be organised, structured, ambitious, and respected. Our players train hard, represent the club with pride, and uphold high standards on and off the pitch.

Together, we are building more than a team.

We are building a pathway, a culture, and a legacy within inclusive grassroots football.
